Hi There

To build your client base I would suggest the following:

1.) Start with people that you know

Let them know that you are in business and taking clients. Keep you cards handy and have a few menus to  share with others so that they know the types and prices of services that you offer.

2.) Get Social

If you are not on Facebook or Instagram then you are missing valuable business. Even if a client does not come right away by being consistent on the social media platforms you are planting the seeds for future business.

3.) Stay Consistent

Keep moving forward with your business efforts for 6-12 months. Give your business time to grow. Encourage your guest to rebook before leaving, make scheduling easy by investing in some of the inexpensive online booking software so that your guest can book in the comforts of their home.

4.) Make a visit to your spa an Event

You don't have to break the bank but set up tea, cookies and other monthly delights to encourage your guest to come back.  These days it is not just the facial but the complete sensory experience (visit beautifullyyoursmetro.com) for amazing ideas on how to set your spa apart.

5.) Be The Expert

More then anything what will bring guest back is your expertise and your results.  You have to deliver every time you have a guest.  When the facial is over and you hand your guest the mirror they want to see a result or in the case of a peel anticipate a result in a few days.  SO deliver. Your ability to deliver is impacted by you knowledge and skills to develop treatments during the skin analysis that fit your client.

I hope that this helps and please feel free to reach out again.....You are in the right place and can definitely build a lucrative business if you stay persistent.

Hi Regina,

My family and friends know what I do. They complain about driving to my location most of all (excuse perhaps?)

I am available on ALL social media. I even do video. Now with Instagram, I can work on my hashtagging. Maybe I can do more of them. What do you think about giveaways, etc?

Thanks for the website referral. I will look at it.

My clients always get results but I think it's something I am not doing in the client cycle.

What do think about bringing in a blogger for publicity?

I appreciate your advice.

Aundra

Hi There-

Sorry that your family and friends complain about the distance but what can you do about that.  So lets explore a few different options.

1.) Go on MeetUp and look for moms groups within a 10-15 mile radius of your location. Reach out to the group and perhaps host something just for them.

2.) Have you had a grand opening?  Maybe host one and invite local business in the neighborhood.

3.) You are on instagram; tell me your handle so that I can follow you. I think that giveaways are not a bad idea but they need to reach your target.  Instagram is really wide open so it might not reach your direct target so no I would not do a giveaway on instagram to target local traffic.  Maybe advertise on facebook it allows you target your population and really zero in on your demographics. It is also relatively inexpensive.

What do you think you are missing out on in the client cycle?  are you providing the complete guest experience? Elaborate.

I don't think it is a bad idea to reach out to several bloggers in your local area to draw attention to your services. Can you add a local radio personality, or journalist to your rooster? Do you know the PR folks in your area? you may want to reach out to them.  What area are you in?  You can also call me I am very much accessible and love to share what I have learned in this industry.

I think referral programs are a great way to get clients in. I offer $10 off for new clients and to the client who referred them. Networking has built my clientele as well.
Sounds good. A referral program.

Hello, the Referral/Rewards works great.

I do 3 referrals=$30 off select services. I must have collected all 3 cards back from referrals to give the credit.

I also do retail reward program. By a specialized stamp or h*** punch.

I also do service rewards.

I give in order to receive.

For a repeated service I offer a "Spa Series" which encourages rebooking and client loyalty.

With 5 consecutive months I give the next (6th) month free.

This works really well with waxing and facials and encourages clients to prebook. If a client gets a variety of treatments you would comp. the less expensive. For example with three 60 minute facials and two 90 minute facials I will offer a 60 minute facial for free on the 6th month.
