West Coast Cont Ed, Biz Develop, Trade Shows?

Hi everyone!

* I posted this on the West Coast Esthys group page, but I thought posting here would also offer more exposure.

I am a solo esthy and recently opened a private studio after being absent from the beauty world for a few years- (I took a detour and worked in pediatric dentistry.)

Being 'new' I was hoping to get feedback on trade shows, cont ed, marketing, biz development on the West Coast. Since I reside in Alaska, I am hoping for something Washington or Oregon based?

Hey Kyong,

I will be in Portland, OR doing a waxing class on April 2, 2012 and we will plan on another class during the summer probably in WA with Rosie's Skincare Services who is our OR/WA Se-Brazil Distributor. Have you thought about attending any shows in Canada? I will be there in May, Edmonton for a waxing class/show as well.

Check with Euro institute in Renton WA, Salon Centric West, Salon Services Seattle and also associate skincare professionals ascpskincare.com. Shows will be Las Vegas or CA that are the closest. The Vancouver BC show in Feb is great.
