Thanks for the welcome, Sharon.  While I am now a stem cell biologist with derm emphasis , my past career was focused on diabetes & metabolic disorders (including a stint as medical director at Johnson & Johnson;s diabetes division). Advanced Glycation End products (AGE's) are of course a major problem in diabetes, and contributes to many of the complications.
