It's a jungle out there. That's why we at Associated Skin Care Professionals (ASCP) started talking about a place online for all things skin care nearly a year ago. Facebook is all-pervasive these days, but how to sort out all the friends, family, fans, and college roommates from your professional life? We concluded that somebody needed to wade into the weeds and swamps to find a single solution—a meeting place—for estheticians and everyone who comes into contact with them professionally.

An objective of mine since becoming Executive Director of ASCP has been to give greater opportunities for our members to communicate and connect with each other. When we considered the idea of creating a network, it took us about 10 seconds to realize that it could not and should not be about ASCP. Growing as a profession, whether on an individual or macro level, is about all of us in the profession. We have, and always will, work like crazy to earn and retain our members’ loyalty but we also feel strongly that creating a community is not about building up barriers, but rather eliminating them.

Since the formation of ASCP in 2007, I have gained many insights into the skin care profession. A fundamental one is the often solitary nature of the work and the need to compare notes on the many exciting products and technologies developing in the profession. I am hopeful this new network can help support that. But it is just a start. None of us are well served by being slaves to monitors and keyboards; my hope is that starting this community leads to cookouts and  coffee meetings, roundtables and lively debate. Meeting face to face suits us as a profession.

Our community is deserving of its collective positive energy; here’s to sharing that amongst ourselves in new and fulfilling ways. So you’ll read that Skincareprofessionals.com is “Powered by ASCP”; that’s just our way of letting you know how important this is to us.

So pack your bags, join the party, and meet us online at Skincareprofessionals.com. It's your adventure; we are just providing the trail map and tent. Get Connected!

Hi Kathy,

Have you posted your question regarding private labeling on the Forum? I think you may get more exposure to other skincareprofessionals.com members there who have the experience to help advise you. Hope that helps!

Anyone going through or completed  the process of private labeling your own skin care? I am looking for very low minimums, very high quality(anti-aging clientele),clinical grade products. Have any great experiences, labs, or tips to share...sure would appreciate it!!!!
