Hi All,
Well I thought I should start posting, been here long enough and didn't do much. The few people I spoke to here seem really really nice and supportive and I hope to meet more of you soon.
So here goes:
It all started in 2006, that's when I finished school and made a stupid decision and began my training at this spa where they were "training" girls to be aestheticians, I only started there because of my ex best friend and her parents. I quickly realised I needed to get out of there. They were just training people to work for them, they didn't care about anyone but themselves, not the clients not anyone... basically we were paying them to work for them.
Then about a year after I left for a real aesthetics training school in Toronto. I must say I loved it. It opened my eyes to so much and not just the school but the city itself. At school though we learnt so much more than what they were actually teaching at that BS spa (oh and the spa itself was doing horribly). Skin care really opened my eyes to sooo much I fell in love. And i'm not just talking about skin care for the face, I mean for the entire body.
And then while at school I was introduced to dermalogica (LOVE). Training at The International Dermal Institute was amazing. I thought normal classes were great but WOW. They had so much love and passion for their work I new that's how I wanted to be with mine. It just showed me there's so much more than just money( what everyone else was thinking about). It showed me that people are the reason for this business and that's why I'm in it, not to use those crappy products that do more harm than good but to actually help improve what insecurities one may have, and show them a more natural way to do things instead of covering up with layers and layers of makeup (don't get me wrong I love makeup but not when it's used to hide things but to enhance) or harmful surgical procedures.
