Anyone know of an alternative to waxing for the lip but gives it the same smooth effect?

Thanks!

Sugaring?  Although I hate the policy of so many sugaring companies to require $300+ training before they will sell.  Seriously, it's not that hard...  there are loads of at-home kits.  If you only need it occasionally as an alternative, I would just go with one of those (and make sure the client doesn't see the jar).

Threading

threading

The client wants to know what she can use at home to tackle the lip hair problem.  Any suggestions?

I also like sugaring, threading is also good but I think it hurts more than waxing and sugaring.  I also think it is crazy that you have to spend $300+ for training.  When my clients ask me about using something from the store etc I just tell them I am sorry I do not  recommend any products that I have not used myself or have had training in.  This works great for me when clients try to ask me what they can use from target etc.

I know you don't want waxing, but  I would say hard wax, and a good one.  It's much safer to use than soft wax without so many of the contraindications.  Sugaring and threading for at home use would be pretty much impossible for the client, as they both have fairly large learning curves.
