Hello all,

I was wondering if anyone has any experience with microneedling.  I saw it the Philly ICES last October and was intrigued, and now I have heard from a couple of different lines that they are considering adding it to their protocols to increase product penetration.  It seems a little aggressive to me, but I did see pretty dramatic, immediate results at the show, and I can see how it could increase penetration.  What do you all think?

Hi Stephanie:  I'm getting into the microneedling. I have been trained at a Medical office.  What product line do you use and what types of serums?  Do you have any recommendations for skin lightening?

Stephanie, would you be kind enough to share what serums you use?  What do you recommend for hyperpigmentation?  After you microneedle, do you follow with a mask?  Thank you!

  Hi Rachael,

Yes, I've been curious also to know more about microneedling....  I decided to buy one for myself and went with a .5 millimeter length... I did not want to go with anything that I felt might be too invasive.

Yes, it is a bit uncomfortable, but my skin is also thin ( age 57) I did not overdo it and made a point of not pushing it into the skin.  I applied my moisturizer afterwards.  The next morning my skin felt especially soft ( I was surprised to notice much of a diffference because I use Pevonia Botanica's products and have felt that my skin is in about as great a shape as I could hope for ).  I've since used it several times, probably too short a time to notice very much,  but I have been impressed with my skin feeling very "alive" (especially at my age)

I did read from one account that microneedling is being considered for use in administering vaccines/ innoculations.  I found that interesting and thought it made the whole concept of microneedling more credible.   But I would still like to know more before recommending it.  My concern is that some people think that more is better ( as in the bleeding part .... which I am also against)  and would end up doing damage to themselves.   I would be very careful whom I would recommend it to and would make it a real point to educate them as to how to use it.

I just took the class on micro needling at IECSC in Vegas with Bio Jouvance and had first trained with micro needling at National Laser Institute in November. I bought some micro needle heads (each client will have their own micro needle head) to use with the Red LED micro needle tool. The needles I got are .5mm I also bought Hyaluronic acid ampules to press onto the skin after micro needling. I have used it on myself 3 times so far and have noticed my scar is fading. I am hoping to see results with my fine lines. I took pics before I started and plan to take after pics I will take some tonight actually. I didn't bleed at all but if I were on blood thinners I may have. My skin doesn't look as though it has a bunch of holes in it. This works a lot like a fractional laser. Awesome, I can't wait to see how my skin turns out in the following months. :) There was no need for topical anesthetic. You can feel it, yes, but it is tolerable and the more times you go over the skin the more you feel it, so just keep that in mind.

I just checked with the State Board to make absolutely sure I am covered for doing microneedling in Washington State and I am. :)

I love microneedling! When this treatment is done right it produce amazing results. I do on myself.

can you tell me what brand you use and the size of the the needle- Thanks Megan

You should try Bio Peeling from 2B Bio Beauty. The ingredients are used for manual micro dermabrasion and micro needling. The peel is made of Chrystalized quartz, lava, acacia gum, marigold and butcher's broom. It is an amazing peel that works from the inside out with no down time. If you would like more info, just let me know.
