I would say to be successful in treating acne, you will need the right product line. Sorry, I wish I had a better answer for you, but don't want to give you misleading information.

Thanks Laura!  I'm still considering your class for 2017 but what about those who can't use FR products at their workplace?  Not to mention the professional line I have to use but it is one that is readily available everywhere yet they don't consider themselves an OTC line, go figure.

Hi Betty

It's really all about the products. I would say 95% of the success is in using the right products and using them correctly.

Hi Laura!  I regret not taking your Face Reality course when I was solo; now I work at a spa that limits the products I can use. Where does product lie in importance-- what I mean to ask is-- what is major in helping clear acne?  Frequent treatments (extractions, techniques, professional formulas), products, client compliance?  These photos are incredible and I would love to help others.  Thanks so much!  Betty

I've advised her to see a dermatologist if the slightest touch causes non-stop bleeding.

Thanks Laura,

SS strongest enzyme uses Lactic, salicylic and arbutin, the blueberry uses glycolic and sal, 1% each.

I've seen her before but it's been a couple of years. She's a 1 or 2 fitz. Not sure if she's inflamed or not at this point.

Hi Willie

But there's a lot to take into consideration when customizing a treatment and home care regimen for any acne client. You need to take into account all the variables when dealing with an acne client, not just acne type. You need to know: 1. Skin type, 2. Fitz type, 3. Skin tolerance and sensitivity 4. Lifestyle habits that need to change, 5. Environments they are in, 5. Medications they are on, 6. How their skin continues to respond or react. In her case, it sounds like she's much too sensitive for any type of extractions. Is her acne inflamed? Since I'm not at all familiar with Skin Scripts, what is their protocol? If she's inflamed, I certainly wouldn't put her on glycolic - I'd opt for a more antibacterial regimen that included l-mandelic and the correct use of benzoyl peroxide. The home care is always the most important part of getting someone clear.

Hello Esties,

I received an email from a past client who has concerns with her current acne condition. I use skin scripts, I also have HF, and CTL (Clear Touch Lite) & Celluma, along with SS Glycolic. Here is the excerpt of the email. Thanks in advance with any suggestions on how to proceed.

"Hi Willie,

It's been a while since I had a facial with you and I'd like to schedule another one, but I have a few issues I want to make sure you can work it. I had to go off my birth control because I had a blood clot last month, and that has thrown my hormones out of whack and my acne is as bad as it's ever been. In addition, I'm on blood thinners so the pimples are very sensitive and bleed at the slightest touch and are very hard to stop bleeding.
Are you able to do an acne-based facial with those issues?"
My thoughts are to continue either with a glycolic peel and the Celluma panel since they seem to be sensitive to the touch or
a regular facial sans clarisonic and extraction and use the pomegranate enzyme, clay mask, then high frequency followed  by celluma panel.
The last thing I want is a non-stop bloody face.
Thoughts?

I have a very nice function machine that also has the diamond tip. The company did not provide any hands on education. Some U-tube videos were accessible but they were not enough to fully educate in usage. I don't feel the directions that came with the machine are enough. I am wondering who out there could help me. Thanks!
