hello everyone... I've been an Esthitician for about five years now off and on. was thinking of renting a room and using BIOELEMENTS for my skin care line but just wanted some feedback if anyone has used or tried before, there seems to be alot of custom treatments I thought that was good now I'm not sure if mixing and adding will end up being more money out of my pocket. I'd love to hear back any thoughts!! thanks Ladies

we used this product in school and I intended to use it professionally (that was 5 years ago) I came to the same conclusion you have...that it really adds up to a lot of money! Plus, I just don't think they are as results oriented as other lines available at a better price

Thankyou...what do you reccomend??

I used BioElements in school. As far as a learning tool goes and when it's not coming out of my pocket they're ok to use.. from what I could tell you couldn't severely harm someone using them (a benefit when learning) and you can get used to product use, mixing, and customizing. But as previously stated by Ann they're very over priced for the results they provide. I do think the acne line is pretty good with results but the rest just isn't very up to par. Hope that helps :)

I agree, I used the line for several years and wondered why I wasn't selling much on the retail end. I  would hand out a ton of samples and very few would order the products. It's a safe line but not much on results.

I agree with what all the ladies are saying about the line. They do offer great education classes, which I am surprised at how many skin care lines do not. I think when choosing a line for your practice consider who your client is & how much they are willing to pay. For example: My typical client is middle age, will not really pay over $50 for one product and loves multi-tasker products. The most popular facial I have is the Express 30 min and clients love when I do a special scented facial of the month i.e. pumpkin facial in Oct.

I have tried Glo-therapeutics but they do not offer education classes consistently. Their cost is average to high, specially for anti-aging products. My clients didn't want to pay $100+ for just the serum that gave so-so results.

I am currently trying on myself the SkinScript line and so far I like it. They have monthly education classes, products are affordable and no minimum!! You can find out more under Groups tab, I would recommend them!

Also they only sell to esti so your not keeping against stores or online.

I ordered the samples of the SkinScript line and did not like it.  It is affordable and there is no minimum, but the packaging looks cheap and I didn't like the products I've tried.  I haven't tried the masks/enzymes so I can't speak to that but as far as home care products, I wasn't a fan and many of their products are more expensive than bioelements.

I liked Visual Changes and there isn't a minimum requirement but their line isn't as broad as I'd like.

Rachel - I think their packaging looks sleek and clinical - they recently had a re-design so I am wondering how long ago you looked at the products.

My clients love the SkinScript retail line - best prices on serums and moisturizers anywhere.

Everything I have seen from bioelements is MORE expensive and less active.

I personally like the Bioelements line.  I'm considering using it in my business but don't currently sell it.  However, I have been using it on my own skin for about 6-8 weeks and like the results.  I've had to experiment a little here and there to find the right regimen and don't necessarily love every product in their line, but I think that is the same with any brand.  Its a good basic brand and a decent price point for most items.

Hello, I have been using Bioelements for almost 2 years, I do like the product line but I think that it can be considered a safe line. I bought it for my clinic room and I have found that the skin in a box is perfect for getting started and selling for retail. I use that line and skin scripts. I also like Mario Badescu. It's not a perfessional line but I think many of the products act like a professional line and it is affordable for my neck of the woods. I hope this was helpful.

thanks everyone... I'm going to be renting space in may and just so stressed with trying to get everything all in order...I appreciate everyone taking the time to offer their advice.  I'll let you all know how it goes!!

Good luck Janelle!

Whatever product you start with will be fine.

As you grow and sample other lines you can make changes, or you may even find that you made the perfect choice!
