ASCP just received the news that the BeWell Expo in Los Angeles is looking for licensed estheticans to participate in their Esthetician Lounge. If you haven't heard about BeWell, it is a public event aimed at beauty and wellness consumers, not an industry trade show.

There's going to be an Esthetician Lounge at the entrance and the idea is that visitors will get a complimentary skin care analysis and intake form, which they can then take with them as they explore the rest of what's available at the expo.

Lots of these people will never have experienced professional skin care treatments before and this is a nice initiative to help visitors to the show understand that it's beneficial to work with a professional instead of doing it all themselves at home.

The Esthetician Lounge is being organized by Diane Buccola from Les Nouvelles Esthetiques & Spa, SpaBizBoard and NCEA.

If you're in the LA area, this is a GREAT opportunity to represent both your own business and the esthetics profession as a whole. The show is at the Los Angeles Convention Center on September 29-30 but if you are interested in being one of the Esthetician Ambassadors, you will need to get in touch with Diane by next week, August 13. Please email her at BeWellExpo@aol.com, with "BeWell Expo" in the subject line, if you're interested.

Thanks Carrie!

We are really excited about the opportunity to connect licensed estheticians with consumers!

This also showcases the knowledge of licensed estheticians and the importance to partner with them for the

health of their skin!

I am emphasizing the Licensed Esthetician because mlm companies or reps are not involved or allowed to participate in this new venture. The BeWell Expo is being produced by the spa industry for consumers.

How is this going so far?  Sounds like a GREAT idea, I would love to do it, but unfortunately the expense to travel across the country wouldn't be too helpful for my small business outside of DC.

I think it's an excellent way to market YOURSELF and hopefully there are many jumping on this to get themselves out there to potential clients.
