Calling all Estheticians that teach lash extensions!

What are your best ways to approach spa's or private clientelle for advanced lash training?? I'm in Utah and the lash education in Utah county specifically is very very bad! People think it should take 2.5hrs for a full set!!! That's supposedly an experienced technician!! I have found some tech's can do them in an hour and a half but they've been doing them for over 4 years... I am trying to improve the education and get the response that they know the best way and that there is no way to do them in one hour. I was able to do them in one hour (60-80 lashes per eye) within my first 6mo. I use Premier Lash. He is the leader of lash tech and has superior business and customer service! Hi,
I've been lashing for about 4 years now, and it takes me about two hours to do a full set if they have a normal/abundant amount of lashes. Quality of work should always be your first concern, speed second. Fills take me 45-60 minutes. I am mostly self taught, and would LOVE some advanced ed !

I totally agree! Quality is very important and that is what I have found to be lacking here. The lashes are done in one length and look like the bad glue on type. I'm trying to get interest that there is better looks achieved in a shorter time period just because of how you use your tools and the quality of your glue but I'm having a hard time getting interest. It's really sad how many closed minds I'm meeting here...

How many hours is your class? I'm finding UT county to be a tough place to find an open mind. I also charge more for private lessons but the mind set is so difficult here. Do you have a strategy for encouraging folks to better their education?

I just trainned w Lavish Lash & I think the trainning & was great............although I never 'sat' for anyother I'm glad I choose Lavish after carefull consideration of the others out there!

I was wondering if Lavish taught you with two straight tweezers? Also how long was your class?

I was trained with Lavish Lash in 2010.  It was very thorough and comprehensive.  They provide both the straight and curved tweezers in their kit.  So, you can play with both.  

Even though they are not the most popular in my area (Texas seems to be flooded by "Extreme"), I'm happy to have chosen Lavish.

I can understand the higher cost for training beginners but if you are looking to offer a touch up/advanced training class, I would go with  a lower cost. I totaly understand that time is money but $150 for 6-8 hrs advanced training is doable if you have 2 or more.  The economy is still good here but may not be where you are.  Just my opinion/input :)

Right now my only option is Nova Lash. They have 2 people in my area (I live in Alaska) that can teach the classes. Xtreme lash does come once a year but I can't afford the 2k this time around.

 

If you ever thought of doing training in AK for Premeir lash, after October would be prime time. We get Dividends then and a lot more esties could afford it.
