I'm a new Esthetician in California (1 1/2 year). I am loving ASCP and the wealth of information it offers. I look forward to networking, sharing ideas and meeting many of the professional skin care specialists here. feel free to contact me.

@Lauren Milady Online has a product called How to Develop a Winning Resume and Negotiate your Salary.  You can purchase a digital copy on their website for $49.95 and it is available on amazon for about $70 as a CD-Rom.  If you get it from their website I think ASCP members get a discount.

Hello!  I am newer licensed Esthetician in California (2 years) and interested in post-graduate education opportunities.  I am currently taking classes at International Dermal Institute.  I would like to be able to travel and offer services in other states and countries.  Is the CIDESCO license the only option?  How long after working in the industry should I start my CIDESCO education?

If  you are starting on your own as a independent contractor I highly reccommend Spa Boom for a website and Genbook for online booking. These may seem expensive for starting out but your return will be far more.  Learning to use social media tools -Facebook, Twitter will increase your traffic on google and bring your name up in the search engines.

I also encourage you to take a Body Sugaring Hair Removal class from Tamara's Professional Body Sugaring.  This service alone has increased my business by more than 50%.  In todays economy when people are not wanting to spend the money on facials their hair removal is still a priority.  Body Sugaring is a all natural service using sugar paste and is safer for the skin than waxing.

Any suggestions on which brand of "LED Light Therapy" would be a good purchase?  I only know of dermaglow.

Does anyone have any advice on interview preparation and landing the ideal job? I almost ready to graduate and would welcome any advice!
