My passion for beauty started at an early age, I took pride in applying a full face of makeup on my father face as he slept. 15 years in the beauty industry, I learned that helping women look good and feel good about their skin beats a 1 hour session with their therapist. I care about healthy, beautiful skin and overall wellness from the inside out. Seeing positive results and happy clients keeps me inspired.

I kind of discovered it when I was in beauty school.  I was always complimented on how well I performed my facials and makeup on my classmates.  In the midst of a bad hair color job, I realized that being an esthetician was what I wanted to do from that moment on.  Although my skills are a little rusty here and there, I'm happy to know that I can always get back on track with classes and run my own business without the stress of having someone over your shoulder.

I was in my thirties and suffering from the worst acne ever.  I never grew out of it and was really angry about it.  Then, I finally found an esthetician who knew what she was doing and she cleared up my skin.  I just HAD to do the same thing for people!

I was working at a Dermatology office and was seeing the effect acne had on peoples lives and how it changes someones entire personality. After the Dr.s had gotten rid of the actual acne lesion they were left with an aftermath. I originally wanted to go into makeup but after seeing that I wanted to continue to help the problem not just cover it up. I then went to Aesthetic Science Institute and did my schooling. I am now employed by the same Dermatology office and I love working with the Drs to achive that clear desired complexion.

I have always been into skin care and makeup, mostly because I have had to deal with acne my whole life. I also was a "jack of all trades", and got bored quickly.  I have been doing makeup for weddings by word of mouth for about 10 years, and I have a friend (who does nails) who asked me why I don't do more of that?  My response was that since I wasn't licensed I could not charge what I was really worth, and had to worry about liability issues.  She said "Well why don't you just go get your license?"  It was a big "duh" and at the same time "aha!" moment.  I already know I love makeup and am good at doing it, I love skin care and am passionate about it...seemed like a perfect fit.  Timing was right, found a great school that was able to fit into my schedule and voila!  I graduate tomorrow :)

I had tried just about every job I can think of. I was doing very well gaining the title "jack of all trades" but I was a master at none, because nothing could hold my interest for more than 9 months. I learn quickly and get board faster! I felt that I needed to do something nurturing. I looked up all my possibilities and narrowed it down to 2 choices. Dog Groomer & Esthetician! ha ha! After that I went to Salary.com to see what the average salary for both carriers. Need I say more?
