I am a newly licensed esthetician.  I decided on booth rental.  I am very confident in my skills, but realize there is always room for growth.  I found a really great place for a booth rental.  She wants $175 - 200 a week, after 6 months she will raise booth rent.   I feel this price is too high, I am just starting out.  She wants $800 a month.  Is this price feasible for someone just starting out?  Please advise.

@ Esther nelson: open a groupon deal. The only way to increase SEO, they blast email thousands in your area and get your name out there. Although you don't make as much per facial, actually barely the cost, you get a nice cash flow because many people buy at once. Of those, reastically, you may keep a few. The rest are deal hoppers. If you use it to your advantage, it's a good idea to start with it,but don't repeat. It's not good for business. Only good for getting started.

I've been licensed for over a year now however, now I've decided to use my license to work in the field as a full specialist. I'm opening my own mini spa. I want it to be by appointment only. I will be officially ready to open by March 20, 2015. How do get clients! I give them the option to book online on my Facebook page and on the website. I still haven't received any clients yet. Please help! I've tried google advertisements.

I understand the managers part now, similar to my booth rental license in a leased space.

Good luck!

I'm in Ohio and just took my state boards in December. We did the practical, written and managers all in the same day as well. We had 3 proctors walking around and checking us.. It was nerve racking, thinking about it. But I stressed way too much, it was fine... And you will do fine!! Good luck to you!!! I agree with Deborah, study what you are not sure of and leave alone what you are sure of!!!
