Brazilian Wax

What product line and wax is the best to use for Brazilian waxing? I'm thinking of adding this to my menu. Any help and advice would be appreciated.

I use gigi honey wax. I was taught to use hard wax and soft but I have found that soft wax is easiest and more comfortable for my clients. Just be careful that it isn't too hot. Also I use a light jojoba oil instead of powder for pre wax.  Do you have people that are willing to let you practice? Good luck it is a good service and in demand.

I would recommend using Cerepil or Berins hard wax.  It is the only true safe way to perform a brazilian.  Are you familiar with hard wax?

Berins "blue" wax is awesome.  It's very easy to control and remove, much more comfortable for the client, especially male brazilians.  Highly recommend looking into and there are tons of video's and training from the company!

I have heard that Lycon gold strip wax is the best for brazilians. I just started using it for leg waxing and it is amazing! An esti I used to work with used to use hard wax but found this stuff to be much better.

Cerepil Blue wax is my favorite.  It's very smooth and the consistency is perfect.  I used Berins also but prefer  Cerepil.  Lori Nestore has some great training DVDs and a message  board on her website www.evasesthetics.com.  click on "wax" then follow the link at the bottom of the page to "The Wax Queens Royal Message Board" .  You'll find tons of topics from technique to marketing your services.  You can spend hours on this site!!Lori also does brazillian and other waxing classes at the Vegas IECSC show and the San Jose Face & Body Spa Conference.  Good luck!

I have used Cerepil Blue and loved it but felt the formulation changed a year or so ago and I switched to Escential Rose.  It seems to be working well and my clients like it.  I have also used Berins and although I love Lori I didn't care for the wax.  I have also heard Lycon is awesome though I have not tried it yet - I guess I need too!  I will say though that hard wax is a most use for Brazilian waxing.  Lori's video The Whole ball of Wax is awesome - it is a must for anyone who wants to add waxing services to their menu.

I might also like Cerepil a smidge better, but Eva's Esthetics and Tu'el skincare by Lisa and Lori Nestore are so amazing! Their prices, great products like Post Wax Essential Oil and Clear-it, customer service and support are heads above the countless other companies I have done business with over the last 17 years.

(P.S. I don't work for them, lol.)

I like being loyal to as few vendors as possible. It makes ordering (and life) simpler, I get better pricing and everything that way.

So, my vote is for them, their wax, and The Whole Ball of Wax!

Haley - Be sure you order the after wax Essential Oil from them.  It really is my favorite.  It is kind of pricey but my clients love it to.
