Microblading: What You Need to Know Before Getting the Treatment

Undergoing certain procedures is not a matter of the general health of the body anymore. The beauty business has become so powerfully strong in the last decade, with many people opting for semi-permanent makeup. However, one of the most popular procedures in this department is definitely microblading. But what is microblading, and is it safe? Is everyone eligible for this procedure? And finally, are there any other benefits to this then just getting having perfectly shaped eyebrows? …See More

Scheduling

Hi, I am just now getting back into the industry after graduating in 2015 and wanted to get some feedback on a scheduling idea I am about to implement. I want to charge a non-refundable deposit fee towards an appointment when my customers schedule with me to discourage cancellations. Is this okay for the first appointment or should I make it for the second time when they are rescheduling? I don't want to scare off any new customers. What do you think is the best option for scheduling when it…See More

Lash Tinting

Hi all,I have recently had a number of older clients with fairly bad dry eye tell me they can only have their lashes tinted with Coal Tar free lash dye, so Refectocil is out, unless I use their sensitive formula. Has anyone had luck with this or another brand that is coal tar free? My experience is the colors don't develop to be as deep or last as long. Thanks for any info!See More

What does that say for us estheticians? Sometimes we get so focused on solving issues with the facial skin that we forget our clients have a body! Many of our treatments are from the neck up – if they are lucky, we may include the decollete. But, 90% of our skin…
