I am curious if anyone uses a scalp treatment if and when they do scalp massage?  I was thinking maybe something with peppermint or teatree would be nice.  Right now I just spritz my hands with some homemade teatree and lavender but would like something more.  Any suggestions would be great!  I am heading to the Premiere show and may be able to pick up something there.

I use a few drops of warm Moroccanoil and now mix in a drop of Argan oil ( buy various kinds) . I normally will do while mask is on or towards end of treatment- I use as add on for 10-min or alone for 15 min.

They have choice to not use any oil also. I do trigger points and massage scalp- then ask if they would like me to spread throughout hair also as a conditioning treatment ( included).

Nice Natalie!!  I wish I knew an actual scalp massage!!  I just make up something :).  I have tried watching you tube videos too.  Any advice on where to get pointers?

I personally don't use tee tree much, for me it smells to medicinal, lavender or peppermint (my go to's but I've tons of EO's) depending on what client wants, relaxing or uplifting. I just use a few drops on my hands. Alot of clients, gals esp. don't want you to mess with their hair too much. I don't have use of a shower so they can't shampoo it out.

Sheila, I'm an MT as well and my email is dkenney1048@yahoo.com if you want me to, I can email you what I do for scalp massage, send me yours, it just takes me too long to type and retype, that way I can do it in Word and it's easier for me. Everything feels pretty good to clients so I would imagine your doing just fine making it up as you go!

thank you so much Deborah!!  That is awesome!  I will email you now.

This might help?   I know she is sitting upright, but it might help!  Google Indian Head massage as they do the best massages in the world on the scalp (in my opinion!)   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0FbbWtArQAg
